Print Party

Hello darlings,

Well, it's not quite a party in here, it's a corporate outfit for any environment. Does this top look familiar? Yes! Yes! It's the same top I paired with a wrap skirt of same print in the "Wrap, drape and knot" post. So I decided to pair it with a contrasting yet complimenting print. Interestingly, the combination of colors on the top is the same on the skirt. There was a time in fashion when it was offensive to wear print on print but those days are long gone! Anything is possible on this side of fashion. I completed my corporate look with a black blazer, black shoes and black structured bag. The metallic belt compliments the metallic detail on the shoes.

Peaches and Cream

Hi dears

I'm continuing with re-purposing an old outfit; my little white dress is getting another day out! The cream lining of the dress makes it more of an off-white/cream colour than white. It is paired with a peach circle skirt and a blazer of a deeper shade which has a brooch of an even deeper shade. These colours are seriously contrasted by my shoes achieving a colour block look. I chose to carry a clutch in the same colour family instead of another contrasting colour. Just goes to show that there are endless possibilities with a little black dress or white dress as in this case.

The white dress is available for sale in different sizes, and the skirt is avail in other pastel shades and sizes.

Friday

Hello dearies, for today's post we'll highlight how to take an ensemble from day to evening and/or night with just a few tweaks. We start with a red peplum bustier paired with a burnt orange textured bodycon pencil skirt and a coral blazer. A corsage is added to the blazer for added pizzazz. The vibrancy of these similar colours is toned down by accessorizing with nude peep toes.

This outfit can be made more formal by accessorizing with court shoes.

To dress up the outfit for an evening out with the girls or a date, the bodycon skirt is replaced with a rust coloured sequined one. A simple change of earrings, a matching rust clutch and make up more suited for an evening out complete this look.

Alternatively, if you are going to a venue more suited for it, the blazer can come off leaving the peplum top and the sequined skirt for a chic or less formal look.

Hope you have a fabulous valentine day!!! ;)
