Bridesmaids Edition: Champagne and Royal Blue
Hey dearies,
How are you all doing? Today I'm featuring another collection for the Bridesmaids Edition.
Some brides contact me for their bridesmaids' dresses with their minds set on a design they want replicated from another bridal train. I usually have reservations about this and most times offer some of my designs instead. Some brides go along with my suggestions while some stick to their original plans which is understandable since they have their minds fixed on that design. I always tweak certain details on their chosen style so we don't have an exact replica. This was the case with the dresses in this post but I'm glad all in all that the dresses turned out pretty. I like the way the royal blue pops through the champagne lace and over it as a sash.
A quick advice to my fellow designers/tailors,one challenge I had with these fabrics was that there was a bit of struggle between the lace overlay and the lining so choose your linings carefully when working with certain fabrics.

Lacey
Hello dears,
Today I'm posting on a slip on lace dress that has no fastening (zippers or buttons). It is a simple dress with contrast lining, it's quite comfortable and can be easily slipped into. I didn't want to take the attention away from the outfit so I accessorized with nude shoes and silver jewelry. My purse is black with multicolored gemstones and brings a bit of contrast to the ensemble. I intentionally shot this look against a lush green garden background and had a very subtle makeup on. The dress is appropriate for some work environments, church and weddings.

Peaches and Cream
Hi dears
I'm continuing with re-purposing an old outfit; my little white dress is getting another day out! The cream lining of the dress makes it more of an off-white/cream colour than white. It is paired with a peach circle skirt and a blazer of a deeper shade which has a brooch of an even deeper shade. These colours are seriously contrasted by my shoes achieving a colour block look. I chose to carry a clutch in the same colour family instead of another contrasting colour. Just goes to show that there are endless possibilities with a little black dress or white dress as in this case.
The white dress is available for sale in different sizes, and the skirt is avail in other pastel shades and sizes.
