Drape, Twist and Knot

Hello lovelies

The fashion world, particularly in Nigeria, recently experienced an invasion of the 'twist and knot wrapper' which I must say is a pretty innovation from the traditional wrapper. However, this trend as with most is already overused. Most ladies at events in recent times have their wrappers in this style.

One way to STILL stand out in this piece is to pair it with a pretty blouse and a statement necklace. Another thing to consider for this twist and knot concept is the fabric; lighter fabrics work better than bulky fabrics. Fabrics like silk, chiffon and stretchy velvets are excellent choices for the wrapper.

I recently bought some chiffon and silk fabrics and made a couple of blouses and wrappers in what I call 'The Drape, Twist and Knot concept'. For the blouses, I made some in a kimono style with a cowl/drape neck behind and a high neck in front. These can also be worn in the reverse order.

I also made a few blouses off-shoulder with 3/4 elastic band sleeves and cowl/drape neck behind and others had a metallic zipper detail behind.

The necklaces were made by my not-so-little brother, Gbenga 'Artsmith' Dada, you can call him on 07030144953, or follow him on instagram @gbengaartsmith.

...Be fashion wise!
